KARACHI - Haj and Umrah pilgrims traveling from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia will be given a free mobile sim from Mobily, a Saudi mobile phone company, under sponsorship from Hajeej-Aroma group, to stay connected with their relatives back home.The pilgrims can now devote more on performing their religious duties instead of spending time in markets to acquire mobile phone sims, besides their relatives back home will also be satisfied having the pilgrims’ local mobile number during the stay in the holy land. Sindh Senior Minister Pir Mazharul Haq, while speaking on the occasion, said that the government was striving to facilitate Haj and Umrah pilgrims and appreciated the private sector to bring such projects to help the government achieve this task. Praising the campaign sponsored by Al Hajeej and Aroma Group of companies for providing free sims to Umrah and Haj pilgrims, he said it would facilitate Hujjaj and Umrah pilgrims as they would be connected with their relatives right from the beginning of the journey for Haj or Umrah. The minister urged other sectors to come forward and play their role in their capacity as Al Hajeej and Aroma Group of Companies have jointly launched Mobily free sims to facilitate the Umrah and Haj pilgrims from Pakistan. Chief Executive, Aroma Group of Companies Muhammad Nadeem Sharif, CEO Hajeej International Fayyaz Siddiqui and Mobily representatives were also present on the occasion. Mazhar said that such facilities to pilgrims would not only render quality services to pilgrims but would also provide peace of mind to them and their relatives back home.
