KARACHI - Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a notorious militant affiliated with outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) after brief encounter at Super Highway. According to SSP Fayyaz Khan, the CID team on a tip-off conducted a raid near Nadir Hospital located at Super Highway and detained a TTP man namely Jahangir Khan Aka Khel with weapon. He said the accused during the initial course of investigation confessed to have been involved in several heinous crimes including murders, attempted murders, kidnappings for ransom and extortions.
In the attack on the convoy four persons died and 14 are injured. SSP Malir Rao Anwaar was targeted.
