USAID offers streamlining of city water pumping stations

KARACHI  - The US government has offered under USAID programme, the streamlining on modern lines of all the water pumping stations in the metropolis.This was announced by the spokesman of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB).A statement said that this will lead to conservation of energy and the KWSB would save money as well.It said that in this regard an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would be signed.The USAID officials Repeka Horban and Jonathan Ward visited the Dhabeji Pumping Station along with Managing Director of KWSB and other officials.On the occasion they were briefed about the functioning of the pumping station and water supply system to the city besides the filtration process.
