Smooth flow of traffic during rains directed

KARACHI  - The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari, has called for necessary steps to ensure flow of traffic on roads during the rains.He issued directives to this effect to the DIG Traffic, says a police statement here on Tuesday. The IGP said that details be apprised of the strategy chalked out for maintaining the flow of traffic in the wake of rains. He stated that for draining out the accumulated rain water on the roads, the district administration should be ensure constant liaison with the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.Fayyaz Leghari said that the Traffic Zones’ SPs and Section Officers should remain in the field to take every possible steps for resolving the problems and identify the difficulties. He said that in case of any road accident the injured be shifted to hospitals promptly.The IGP also stressed that adequate arrangements be made for removing the vehicles from the roads, that breakdown during rains. He said that alternate routes be notified for the roads that are affected owing to development works.
