Violence continued to take innocent lives in the financial hub of the country as five more shot dead overnight, officials said on Sunday.

According to local police, man namely Fahim was shot dead in Gulistan-e-Johar and another man was killed in firing at a shop.
A dead body was found from Ranchore Line area while a man was shot dead in Kharadar area who could not be identified.
On the other hand, an accused was arrested while seven others managed to flee from the scene after a police encounter.
According to police, the accused were allegedly involved in illegal supply of weapons in the city.
Police recovered 3 Kalashnikovs, 2 riffles, 1 repeater, two hand grenades including snatched car and a motorcycle from the accused. The accused was involved in illegal arms supply since 2009, police source added.
