KARACHI – The Jamaat-e Islami (JI) Karachi will hold a rally on Sunday to protest resumption of Nato supply. The rally would start from Memon Masjid at Bolton Market to Keamari. JI Ameer Munawar Hassan would lead the rally. Meanwhile, Jamaat-e Islami Karachi-chapter Secretary General Naseem Siddiqui in a statement issued here Thursday said that the present government had committed treason by allowing the Nato forces to transport their weaponry to Afghanistan from Pakistan. He said that the United States has been carrying out genocide of the innocent Muslims of Afghanistan for a long time but the present Pakistan government restored Nato supply routes. The government had thus insulted resolutions passed by the Parliament against the restoration of Nato supply lines and sentiments of millions of Muslims of the country and the region. He appealed to the people of the city to participate in the rally in large number in order to convey a message to the government and the United States that the Pakistani nation was totally against the decision.
