PCSIR develops biomedical equipment indigenously

KARACHI - Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial research Director General Dr Tanzeel Haider Usmani has said that the PCSIR Karachi has developed first time biomedical equipment locally at very low cost. Taking to media at the PCSIR, he said that following the demands of the public hospitals, the experts of PCSIR had developed biomedical equipment, including infant incubator, centrifuge machine, baby warmer and suction machine. “The achievement of the council will reduce the cost in health care sector. This equipment is developed at very low cost, but are equal in the quality of the imported foreign equipment. The PCSIR has introduced biomedical equipment that is easy to use.”

The said equipment were ready for commercialisation. These all are lower in cost and equal in the quality of the imported foreign equipment. Our experienced scientists and technicians worked hard to develop them to facilitate the hospitals.Dr Tanzeel Haider Usmani congratulated his team for the great achievement.
