KARACHI - Pakistan Customs Drug Enforcement Cell has recovered and seized 520 grams of white heroin powder concealed in the back side of ladies bags at Karachi airport on Wednesday. According to the statement, Customs DEC staff during clearance of an outgoing international mail intercepted a postal parcel booked for London from Hyderabad. Upon examination 24 ladies bags and assorted mobile pouches of different sizes were found. Thorough examination of the above mentioned goods led to the recovery of 520 grams of white heroin powder concealed in the back side of 18 ladies bags. A prosecution case under Control of Narcotics Substances Act 1997 has been registered and efforts are being made to apprehend the sender of the seized parcel.
