Polls to be held on time: President Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday reiterated that general elections would be held on time only after the completion of government’s term.

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, IG Sindh Fayyaz Leghari and Law Minister Ayaz Soomro met President Zardari at Bilawal House and briefed him on the overall law and order situation in the wake of killing of MQM MPA Manzar Imram.
According to sources, President Zardari said nobody would be allowed to disturb Karachi peace.
He directed authorities to increase police patrolling in the troubled areas of Karachi and arrest the killers of Manzar Imam.
The president directed Chief Minister Shah to take extreme measures to restore law and order situation in the metropolis.
In a separate meeting at Bilawal House in Karachi, PPP leader from Hyderabad met the president. He asked them to prepare for the elections which would be held in a transparent manner according to schedule.
