KARACHI - Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday said that the police had arrested 31 people allegedly involved in extortion here. Extortion has been taking place since 15 years, however, the situation has been improving since the government took strict measures, he claimed. He also met CM Qaim Ali Shah and discussed the issue of extortion. Later, talking to media, he said that target killings in Karachi had been stopped but the extortion problem was still continuing.
