Three more killed in Karachi violence

Despite tall claims of the provincial and federal governments and law enforcement authorities to calm down law and order situation in Karachi, target killing continued to claim innocent lives as three more people were shot dead in different localities of the city on Friday.

The police arrested five robbers during separate encounters and recovered arms and other valuables from their possession.
According to details, in Bilal Colony of Korangi unknown armed assailants shot dead an activist of political party and fled the scene. The body was shifted to hospital for post-mortem where identity of the deceased was ascertained as Wali Pathan.
In yet another incident of firing near Nasir Jump locality of Korangi one person whose identity has not been confirmed was killed. Police said that incidents seem to be outcome of personal enmity.
An activist of political party who was injured in firing incident in Orangi Town area of the city on late Thursday night succumbed to his wounds in hospital.
Aftab, 35, was injured when unknown armed motorcyclists opened fire at him in Baldia Town locality.
Meanwhile, firing incidents continued in different areas of Karachi during which seven persons were reported injured. The injured were shifted to various hospitals of concerned areas where according to hospital sources condition of three injured people was serious.
The police on a tip off approached three robbers who were busy in looting citizens at gun point and arrested them after exchange of fire. Two robbers were injured in the encounter who were shifted to hospital for treatment. The police recovered arms, looted valuables and mobile phones from the possession of detained robbers.
Two robbers were injured after fire exchange in Mubeen Town area. Arms and looted valuables were recovered from their possession.
