KARACHI – A doctor among eight people were killed in separate incidents here on Wednesday.A doctor was shot dead in his clinic in Haji Sher Muhammad Goth in Malir City police precincts.The victim 45-year-old Dr Rahim Bux was the resident of Siddique Goth Malir. He was sitting in his clinic situated in Haji Sher Muhammad Goth, when at least three armed men barged into his clinic and opened indiscriminate fire on him. He sustained multiple bullets and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medicolegal formalities. DSP Rao Iqbal said victim was a MBBS doctor and his family member said that he had some dispute with Salari Community. They suspect Imran and Sarmad Salari might be involved in his murder. Officer said victim hailed from Balochistan and personal enmity was the reason behind the incident. Later, police handed over the body to the heirs and no case was registered till the filing of the report.Separately, a truck driver, later identified as 35-year-old Subhan, was shot dead in Shirin Jinnah Colony within the limits of Jackson Police Station. Police officials said that the deceased was hailed from Peshawar. His body was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi for autopsy. No case was registered till the filing of the report.Meanwhile, in separate incident, a man hanged himself in a house in Shafiq Mor within the limits of FB Industrial Area police station.The victim 27-year-old Mushtaq was hailed from Muzaffargarh, Punjab and nowadays he was living in quarter situated near Shafiq Mor. He committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan. SHO Javed Yousufzai said that the victim was working in a scrap shop with his relatives. Two months back, he got divorce in Punjab and after that he also attempted suicide, then his family members sent him to Karachi. But on Wednesday when he went to the scrap shop and after one hour, he returned home and committed suicide. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medicolegal formalities and later handed over to his relatives.Separately, police found a two-day-old drowned body of a man from Seaview in the limits of Darakshan police station. The victim 30-year-old Rizwan was the resident of near Gujjar Nullah, Nazimabad. He went Manora two days back along with his friend for picnic and during bath, he drowned. Police official said the body was shifted to the JPMC for medicolegal formalities and later handed over to his family.Similarly, in another incident, police found a drowned body of a man from sea in Ibrahim Hyderi police precincts. The victim Muhammad Hussain, 30, was the resident of Korangi. While taking bath in the sea, he lost control over him and drowned. SHO Naik Muhammad Jakhrani said the body was shifted to the JPMC for legal formalities where his family members took it away without any legal formalities. In another incident, an Mauj Ali, 59, died in a road accident near Hospital Chowrangi in the jurisdiction of Quaidabad police station. Police official said he was the resident of Bhains Colony and at the time of the incident he was crossing the road when a speeding vehicle hit him to death. The body was shifted to the JPMC and later his family took it away after completing legal formalities. Ali was hailed from Kandh Kot and no case was registered till the filing of the report.Similarly, a man namely Shafiq, 28, died in a road accident at the KDA Chowrangi in the limits of North Nazimabad police station. Police said victim was the resident of Surjani Town. At the time of the incident, he was going on his motorcycle. When he reached KDA Chowrangi, a speeding vehicle crushed him to death. The body was shifted to ASH for legal formalities and later handed over to his family.Meanwhile, a bus conductor was shot dead in Malir area in the limits of Khokhrapar police station. The incident took place at Malir No 4 where some unidentified men gave signal to stop a passenger bus of route no P-1. They pull the bus conductor out of the bus and then an armed man opened fire on him. He sustained a bullet in his head and died on the spot. The crime culprits managed to escape easily from the scene. Police shifted his body to the JPMC for medicolegal formalities, where he was identified as 28-year-old Anwar alias Pappu. He was the resident of Lasbella near Patel Para. Later, police handed over his body to the heirs. No case was registered till the filing of the report.
