Workers to protest outside CM House

KARACHI – The worker union of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) on Saturday warned for staging a protest outside the Sindh Chief Minister House if outstanding wages of Lyari Town workers were not paid

Union Chairman Zulfikar Shah said government had earlier announced that salaries of employees would be paid before Oct 22; however, no arrangement had been made so far.
He warned that workers would lodge strong protest demonstration and will not perform their duties during Eid-ul-Azha if their salaries were not paid by Oct 22.
It is pertinent to mention here that on October 8, President of Pakistan People’s Party Karachi Division Najmi Alam and Chief Officer of Tehsil Management Authority Lyari Muhammad Raisi has assured the workers to pay their wages within three when days when Lyari Town and Saddar Town workers staged a protest outside the Karachi Press Club
Najmi Alam had also assured the workers for joining the protest if the administration did not pay their salaries.
