KARACHI – On a consumer’s complaint, the Karachi Electric Supply Company on Tuesday severed over 1,000 illegal power connections in Altaf Town of Korangi Industrial Area.The consumer, who is being kept anonymous, had complained to the KESC about the massive power pilferage in sector 30 of Korangi. KESC teams surveyed the area and found the complaint as genuine. Afterwards, a drive was carried out, in which 1,002 illegal connections were removed.The KESC has asked the citizens to keep vigilance in their surrounding areas and report to it in the case of any electricity theft. The KESC says the general public this way will save the utility from huge financial losses.
