KARACHI – A Difa-e-Pakistan Council meeting on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements for its “Long March” against the government’s intention to end the supply line blockade for the Nato. Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti presided over the meeting held at Idara-e-Noor-e-Haq. The meeting was informed that awareness camps would be established across the city on May 24, 25 and 26. DPC leaders would address people at these camps. On May 25, demonstrations would be staged and banners would be hoisted at all major avenues of the city.  The meeting was informed that DPC central leaders would arrive in the city on May 26 and would hold an important meeting, followed by a press briefing. Mehanti said the decision to restore NATO supply line would be total annihilation of the aspirations and sentiments of the people. “The entire nation would keep their prestige and dignity intact,” Mehati said, “They would not allow the rulers to impose their decision on them for a handful of US dollars.”
