Jamaat throws weight behind H’abad varsity

KARACHI - Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh chief Dr Merajul Huda said on Sunday 12,000 ghost schools existed in the province.
In a statement, the JI leader said educational institutes should be established in every town and tehsil of rural Sindh. He demanded the government to immediately announce establishment of university in Hyderabad. He stated that according to a World Bank report, thousands of ghost schools existed in Sindh. The PPP government, during its tenure, failed to close down ghost schools. He said elected representative from Hyderabad did not play any role in overcoming despair of the people. It had been playing with emotions of the people.
