KARACHI - Managing Director of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) Misbahuddin Fareed has ordered cancellation of leaves of operational staff and directed them to remain alert in view of expected monsoon rains.This he stated on Monday while presiding a meeting to finalise arrangements to cop with any emergency situation during the rains. The MD directed the KWSB chief engineers to set up emergency centres at KWSB district offices and arrange required machinery and equipment at these centres. He directed that the emergency centres should remain functional round the clock during the monsoon rains. He also directed the chief engineers to remain in contact with their concerned deputy commissioners for redressal of public complaints.
