KARACHI – Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) has threatened to stage country wide protest if government increased the prices of petroleum products, here on Saturday.

In a joint statement, KTI President Irshad Hussain Bukhari, General Secretary Syed Mahmood Afridi and others said All Pakistan CNG Associations President Ghayas Paracha informed that Minister for Petroleum is expected to meet the Prime Minister on May 27.
They said transporters would lodge country wide strike along with closure of all CNG stations if government decided to increase fuel prices. They warned that the federal government would be responsible for any untoward situation if their grievances were not addressed.
