‘China, Pakistan  enjoy exemplary ties’

KARACHI – China and Pakistan play very important and key roles in the region and both countries should work even more closely, said Chinese Consul General Zhang Jianxin.He was addressing at a glittering and well-attended reception held here the other day to celebrate the National Day and the 63rd anniversary of the Peoples Republic of China.The Chinese envoy reiterated with emphasis that the friendship between the two countries was higher than the Himalyas, deeper than the oceans, sweeter than honey and stronger than steel amid thunderous applause of the large audience.He added that China and Pakistan were very close and good friends and China had always helped Pakistan whenever it faced crucial and trying times. He said their close ties and unique relationship were based on mutual respect and close cooperation in all fields.The Chinese people have made remarkable achievements and succeeded in taking China to insurmountable heights under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.Mr Zhang Jianxin said the Chinese government attaches most importance to people’s health and people’s welfare. He added that this year is very important as the Communist Party is having its 18th National Congress and deciding about the future development plans of the country.Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said Pakistan-China friendship was exemplary and China was a true friend of Pakistan. He added that both the countries shared the same views on many issues and were closely cooperating in many fields. Many Sindh ministers included Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto and Raza Haroon, high military government officials, and elite of the City attended the reception.
