KARACHI - Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco), the national space agency of Pakistan, is hosting a workshop on “Geomagnetic Observatories and their Applications” from April 3-13 at Geomagnetic Observatory, Islamabad.

The workshop is jointly organised by Suparco, National Centre for Physics, Islamabad Campus, Inter-Islamic Network on Space Sciences and Technology and Royal Institute of Meteorology, Belgium.
The main objectives of the workshop are to develop cooperation among the OIC countries to enhance knowledge-based capacity-building, exchange expertise in the field of geomagnetic research. A number of participants from Belgium, Germany, Egypt, Mozambique, Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Indonesia as well as participants from various institutions in Pakistan are attending this workshop.
