Addressing the teachers at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan here on Saturday, the NPT Chairman censured the government for raising the prices of gas and petroleum products. Mentioning Interior Minister Rehman Malik’s statement in which Malik said that enemy of the country was sitting in Balochistan, Majid Nizami questioned the minister that what were the hurdles to bring the enemy out from the province?
NPT and Punjab Education Department jointly organised the 51st Ideological Training Workshop for the education officers at Aiwan. On the occasion, Dr Sarfraz Hussain Mirza delivered a lecture on Pakistan Movement at multimedia.
Majid Nizami, in his speech, urged the teachers to learn themselves about Two-Nation Theory and Pakistan Movement and then pass the same to their students.
“Tell the youth that our elders and leaders rendered great sacrifices to establish a country for the Muslims of this region,” he said. He told them about the miserable conditions of Muslims before partition and influential status of Hindus. But, he lamented that the dreams of Quaid and Allama Iqbal could not be materialised about Pakistan even after passing 60 years. Pakistan instead of turning into Islamic welfare state had become a country where dominant feudal lords and elite are ruling, he added. All the resources were in the hands of a single class and they were passing their hierarchy to their sons, he regretted. It was now your (teachers) duty to inform the youth about the facts and make them a true patriotic and empower them with ideological training so that they could defend the ideological and geographical boarders of Pakistan, he appealed.
