LDA decides to revamp its legal wing

LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to revamp its legal wing by engaging well-reputed law firms, advocates and lawyers, having extensive experience in working with government setups besides recruiting an officer on market-based salary for heading its Law Directorate.
The authority has sought legal services in the areas of acquisition of land and litigations, legal issues pertaining to housing societies, town and metropolitan planning, commercialization and civil works, service matters, contract management, labour laws and other legal issues.
The legal firm must be registered under the Partnership Act 1932 and its members should have valid license to practice law under Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973 and have been enrolled as an advocate of Supreme Court and High Court.
Advocates, Lawyers, Firms fulfilling the above criteria may send their application with detailed CVs on prescribed form (which can be obtained from the undersigned) to Director Administration LDA by July14, 2012.
Candidate for the post of Director Law must have 15 years and above experience as practicing advocate of High Court or 15 years experience as senior law officer in public sector organization or he may be a retired Additional and Session Judge.
RESHUFFLE IN LDA: Lahore Development Authority Director General Ahad Khan Cheema has directed transfer of two officers.
Directorate of Land Development-I Research and Evaluation Deputy Director Afzal Bhatti has been transferred and posted to Directorate of Land Development-II.
Assistant Director Ali Bin Sohail has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director in Directorate of Land Development-I, in the same pay and scale.
