LAHORE – City District Government Lahore is going to use latest technology in order to monitor fogging and insecticide spray process for the elimination of dengue live from the control room and for the purpose district administration will buy 2,000 especial mobiles phones.The decision was being taken in a meeting of a high level committee, presided over by the Commissioner Lahore Division Jawad Rafiq Malik, held on Wednesday. The meeting was told that with the cooperation and help of Punjab Information Technology Department, global software has been prepared which would help in collecting and compiling digital data regarding anti-dengue activities in different areas could be produced at one place.
The main objective and special purpose of introducing such costly technology is to monitor such baildars and other officials who used to submit bogus facts and figures. Moreover, by using such modern technology, the district administration would be able to monitor all the essential arrangements and steps being taken for the elimination of larvae as well through such newly introduced mobile monitoring system. Addressing the meeting, the Commissioner ordered to complete process of purchasing and connecting such mobiles with control room till March 3. He said the dengue brigade had been provided all the essential information in this regard and record of all such homes would also be compiled.
