LAHORE – District Coordination Officer Noor Ul Amin Mengal said on Wednesday that the work on providing ownership rights to the residents of Gawala Colony had almost been completed and the summary would be sent to Punjab chief minister for approval in a few days.
The DCO also directed the Wahga Town and Gawala Colony administrators to submit a report on the open plots. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting regarding ownership rights of Gawala Colony at Nadar Hall.
MPA Zaeem Hussain Qadri, ADC (G) Mussrat Jabeen, ADC (R) Nadir Chatha, Wahga Town Administrator Syed Asif Hussain Shah, Gawala Colony Administrator Imran Ahmad and other officers also attended the meeting.
The DCO said that different categories had been constituted for this purpose since the people who had constructed their houses on the plots would have to pay different price as compared with the price of undeveloped plots or site. “The Punjab chief minister is taking steps to provide better facilities to the residents,” he concluded.
