CCPO Tareen gets retired

LAHORE – Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Aslam Tareen got retired from service on Friday after serving many years in the police department on key administrative and field positions.
The Additional Inspector General of Police, Tareen, will leave the charge of his office on Saturday (today) after receiving traditional police salute at the CCPO headquarters, according to a police spokesman. He has got retired with effect from February 1.
Earlier, Tareen visited the Lahore Press Club and addressed a farewell party held in his honour to recognise his decades-long career.
Talking to reporters on this occasion, the Additional IG said that during his entire service, he always provided relief to the complainants besides ensuring the provision of justice at grass-root level.
Tareen also thanked the Punjab government and all his colleagues for reposing confidence in him. He also urged the officers to always serve the humanity with dedication, honesty and commitment.
