LAHORE – The Edhi Foundation provided free treatment and medicines to 35, 690 patients in its free dispensary in Allama Iqbal Town during the year 2011. The Foundation spokesman said that around 1232 patients including women and children were admitted to Edhi Home, located in Gulberg and Bilquess Edhi Home in Township. Over 1, 156 people were sent to their homes after locating their home addresses. The foundation also shifted 886 bodies and 2431 injured persons to their homes from hospitals during different road accidents across the provincial capital. He said that volunteers of Edhi Foundation provided services in shifting 77, 000 dead bodies and patients to hospitals. The foundation also buried 152 unclaimed bodies in Miani Sahib Graveyard.
