LAHORE – The investigation police chief on Tuesday constituted two special squads to arrest the killers of a teen boy who was abducted for Rs3 million ransom.

On Friday, 15-year-old Muhammad Bilal went missing and was found dead on Monday.
The slow response of police provided room to the suspected killers to flee to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Just about forty days ago, the unfortunate lad had returned from Saudi Arabia where he performed haj with his family, according to his relatives. They claimed that Muhammad Saqib and his wife Pathani Bibi, who had relations with the deceased’s family, kidnapped Bilal for ransom.
The suspected killer, along with his wife and two children, has fled to KPK province on a passenger bus after parking his car (LE-2116) near Niazi Bus Stand, police said, adding, the car had been seized.
The police said they had arrested the father and two brothers of Saqib in connection with the probe.
On Tuesday PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz visited the residence of the deceased and met with his parent. He assured the family of all-out support to bring the culprits to justice.
THREE DEAD: A 25-year-old man was found murdered from an open drain in the Gujjarpura police limits.
Investigators believe that unidentified killers strangled the youth and threw the body into the drain. Police termed the killing blind murder and said that a case was registered against unidentified killers.
Two prisoners died in the Kot Lakhpat jail. Officials said Hamus, 35, Sajjad, 40, died of illness. They were admitted to local hospital where they died.
ARRESTED: The Baghbanpura police claimed to have arrested four people and recovered 400 litre indigenous liquor from them.
According to officials, the police headed by SHO Baghbanpura, Mazhar Iqbal, launched the crackdown on the eve of New Year Night in the locality and also recovered 80 bottles of liquor during checking.
A woman, identified as Sabra Bibi and said to be liquor supplier, was also among the arrested persons.
Meanwhile, Shadbagh police arrested three hardened criminals involved in several incidents of heinous crimes. The accused were identified as Khalid, Najam Butt, and Qaisar. Further investigations Sabzazar police also arrested one Ali Rizwan and his two accomplices involved in dozen of heinous crimes.
Police said that Ali Rizwan and his accomplices are involved in several crimes that they had committed in Karachi and other parts of the country.
