Four cops held as armed men get ‘criminals’ freed

SARGODHA - Four cops were arrested as armed men got two "dangerous criminals" freed from the police custody by attacking on their vehicle.
The accused belonged to Faisalabad district and were involved in murder and other heinous crimes. The policemen were arrested on the orders of SSP Dr Muhammad Rizwan.
The accused namely Muhammad Bilal, a resident of village 66 and Umer Draz of village 265/RB were being brought the Sajid Shaheed police team headed by Sub-Inspector Khudadad to produce them in the court.
When they reached near telephone exchange, the armed men opened fire on the police mobile and burst its tyres. They also manhandled cops. The assailants also snatched arms from the policemen.
Later, the police high-ups rushed the spot. The Sub-Inspector, Constable Muhammad Anam, Sher Muhammad and driver Muazam Ali have been apprehended.
 After the arresting the four policemen, high-ups have  started an investigation  and launched a hunt for the runaway outlaws.
