PU declares BCom  Part-II result


LAHORE – The Punjab University Examinations Department has declared the result of BCom Part-II Annual Examination 2012. A total of 44,309 candidates appeared in the exam and the pass percentage remained 48.65.
The number of boys and girls who appeared in the exam was 28,446 and 15,863, respectively. Of these, 12,064 boys and 9,491 girls passed the examination. The pass percentage of boys remained 42.41 while that of girls 59.83. Detailed results are also available on Punjab University website www.pu.edu.pk.
Also, hundreds of candidates desirous of getting admission in the Punjab University on sports basis participated in cricket trials on Saturday. The Punjab University cricket team attracted attention of emerging and national players from all over the country due to the Sports Department’s revolutionary initiatives.
According to a press release, because of a sizeable chunk of candidates, it was not possible for the Sports Department to conduct cricket trials in one day and now the trials of the remaining candidates would be conducted on September 4. Trials of various other sports including hockey, football, athletics and others are also being currently held for admission in the Punjab University.
