RE - Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said provision of quality education is the basic responsibility of the government and all-out measures are being taken in this regard. Young generation is our precious asset and a comprehensive strategy is being adopted for equipping the youth with modern education, he added.
The Chief Minister said this while giving award and certificate to a disable girl student on her outstanding performance in matriculation examination, here Saturday.
Taking notice of the news about the performance of the disabled girl student Zahra Abbas, the Chief Minister Saturday called the student, her parents, the Secretary Education and officials of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education at the Chief Minister's Secretariat and gave prize to the brilliant student on her achievement.
Zahra, a disabled of both hands and legs, secured 700 marks in science group in the matric examination. The student is continuing her studies with her elbow.
On the occasion Shahbaz said the government would bear all expenses on the education of the student and she could continue her studies wherever she wanted, adding that the nation was proud of her who despite her physical disability had proved her talent. Encouraging the girl, the Chief Minister stressed upon her to continue her studies with the same spirit. He assured that government would extend all out cooperation to her. Shahbaz congratulated her parents on her success.
