LAHORE – The Punjab government Saturday approved 11 development schemes with an estimated cost of Rs12902.387 million.
Secretary Planning & Development Punjab Arif Anwar Baloch, members of the Planning & Development Board and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also participated in the meeting.
The approved development schemes included: Improvement / Rehabilitation of Wildlife Park Loi Bher, Rawalpindi (Phase-II) (Revised) at the cost of Rs373.497 million, Strengthening / Upgradation of DHQ Hospital Kasur from 197 to 300 beds at the cost of Rs200.000 million, Construction of Judicial Complex at Lahore (Phase-II) (Revised) at the cost of Rs800.640 million, Strengthening of BMP / Baloch Levy in District DG Khan. (Revised) at the cost of Rs201.036 million, Design of Remedial Measures for Dewal Landslide and Reconstruction of RMK Road at Dewal Landslide (2nd Revised) (PC-II) at the cost of Rs26.522 million, Widening / Improvement of road from Bunga Hayat-Pakpattan-Arifwala from km No 460.23 to 514.50=54.27 km in District Pakpattan (Revised) at the cost of Rs1287.454 million, Widening and Improvement of Sargodha Gujrat Road (Section Jhal Chakkian to Bhalwal) length 38.50 km, District Sargodha (4th Revised) at the cost of Rs528.238 million, Renewable Energy Development Sector Investment Programme (Construction of Deg-Outfall Hydel Power Station District Sheikhupura) (2nd Revised) at the cost of Rs1993.000 million, Renewable Energy Development Sector Investment Programme (Construction of Pakpattan Hydel Power Station District Pakpattan) (2nd Revised) at the cost of Rs1319.000 million and Renewable Energy Development Sector Investment Programme (Construction of Chianwali Hydel Power Station District Gujranwala) (2nd Revised) at the cost of Rs2595.000 million.
MEETING: The 23rd meeting of Lahore Waste Management Company Board of Directors of held in the central office of the company on Saturday.
The meeting, presided over by LWMC Chairman, discussed review of metro bus agreement, approval of third party monitoring for international contractors, extension of contract with ISTAC, approval of progress during 4th quarter of 2012-13, appointment of internal auditor, formation of proposed committees of the board members, and approval of mechanism for performance evaluation and revision of salaries of LWMC employees.
The board unanimously gave approval of Asian Consulting Engineers as third party for monitoring and evaluation of international contractors, short listing of five international contractors in pre qualification for construction of sanitary landfill and other agendas which came under discussion.
