LAHORE – Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has assured the farmer community that he would take up their issues with the prime minister for their earliest resolution.
Pervaiz said that he would also talk with the premier about the agricultural tariff for electricity. He assured the farmer delegation that the TCP would be directed to take cotton from the farmers.
Earlier, the farmer delegation apprising Pervaiz Elahi about their problems maintained that power tariff was increased every month for agricultural tube-wells in South Punjab, whereas no such increase was made in the power tariff for Gujranwala and Lahore divisions.
Pervaiz Elahi and his son Moonis Elahi condoled the death of mother of Asma Jahangir.
