The police tried to arrest them but they started firing. In retaliatory fire one robber was killed on the spot while the other succumbed to his wounds while being shifted to hospital.
Police claimed to have recover looted valuables from the custody of killed dacoits.
The dacoits killed in the fire exchange were aged 24 and 25 years.
