DIG Doger gives SPs two weeks to catch all POs

LAHO RE Newly-appointed DIG Operations Ghulam Mehmood Dogar has directed the divisional SPs to ensure better situation of law and order in the City. Supervising a meeting at his office here on Saturday, he has given them 15 days with strict directions to hunt all the proclaimed offenders A&B categories. He also said that the performance of all the circle heads would be evaluated after 15 days and any kind of hardheaded situation would not be tolerated afterwards. The DIG also ensured new motorbikes would be given to each police station besides changing tangible atmosphere of Thana Culture. The officers involved in misusing of their powers and misbehave with the citizens especially with the complainants would be dismissed from service, he added. Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, however, said that all the lenient station house officers (SHOs) would be transferred and fresh honest and crime fighter officers would be appointed SHOs in the City. Crackdown against wheelies directed: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) SSP Ahmed Mobin has directed the sectors in-charges and senior traffic wardens to initiate massive crackdown against the wheelies and those involved in harmful practices especially on Sunday (today). While addressing a meeting of circle in-charges at his office on Saturday, the CTO said due to holiday the youths especially college and universities students indulged in wheelies without thinking about the consequences of this practices. Ahmed Mobin also urged the citizens including parents with advice to snub them over harmful practice, which not only affect the lives of innocent persons but somehow they themselves closed the chapters of their lives.
