LAHORE – PTI leader Inam Ullah Khan Niazi has alleged that an “Imposter” has been made Punjab finance minister.Addressing a press conference here at Lahore Press Club on Monday, he said that new Punjab Finance Minister Rana Asif Mehmood was born in Sialkot as a Christian to Rana Taj Mehmood.While citing Nadra record, Inam Ullah Niazi claimed that Asif got Canadian nationality as a Christian but returned to the country as a Muslim convert. He said Mehmood again converted to Christianity to become a minority member of the Punjab Assembly. “This is an act of treachery not only to the Muslims of Pakistan but also to the Christians community”, he said. Advocate Faisal Ilyas filed a case against Mehmood and the case is pending adjudication for June 9, the day when Punjab budget is to be presented by him, Niazi said.
