The deceased, identified as 38-year-old Lubna Bibi, was residing with her children in an apartment on rent near the Malika Wala Chowk in Asif Street. Police have shifted the body to morgue for autopsy. Investigators said the woman had a relationship Saleem Masih, said to be the resident of Bank Stop. According to police, Saleem killed her after trading barbs over some issue and fled.

Crushed: A 50-year-old woman was killed while her son wounded seriously when a rashly driven truck smashed into a motorcycle in front of the Shalimar Gardens in the Baghbanpura police limits on Monday. Rescue workers said that the woman, identified as Bashirian Bibi, a resident of College Road Shalimar, was on her way home riding on a motorcycle along with her son Irfan when the truck hit their two-wheeler from the rear side.
As a result, both the mother and her son received serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital where Bashirian Bibi succumbed to wounds. The truck driver managed to escape from the crime scene. The condition of her son was reported to be out of danger. The police have impounded the truck after registering a case against unknown driver. Found dead: A 25-year-old man was recovered dead from the Gulberg police area on Monday. The deceased was later identified as Arshad Masih, a resident of Saint Merry Colony Gulberg.
