LAHO RE Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa has said that the great sacrifices rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his brave companions guide the Ummah to forge unity against any aggression and stand for the truth under any circumstances. In his YoumeAshura message, the Governor said that the Karbala battle between the truth and the false is a bright chapter of the Islamic history. He said the sacrifices given by Imam Hussain (RA) and his family members in Karbala to uphold the truth still prepare us to stand resolute against threats facing the country internally and externally. He said the Karbelaevent is a guidance for the world and especially for the Muslims, not to falter but stand firm to defeat the falsehood and show patience and perseverance in that course. He said Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) raised the standard of Islam for good by defying allegiance to the despotic forces. He said the day requires of us to cultivate the spirit of sacrifice, tolerance, solidarity and resolution and following these golden principles we can give peace, and prosperity to our country. He said Islam gives the lesson of brotherhood and peace and the forces creating disharmony and unrest are neither Islamic nor patriotic.
