Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal has said on Wednesday that Nawaz Sharif would not mediate or act as a guarantor for talks with Taliban.
In a video statement on Feb 3, TTP expressed its willingness to hold peace talks with the government, provided Nawaz Sharif, Maulana Fazl ur Rehman and Munawar Hasan act as guarantors.
Meanwhile, Iqbal urged the central bank to stop issuing loans to the federal government.
“The government has crossed all limits of loans; therefore, issuing of more loans should be banned.”
He advised government officials to refrain from protecting graft.
The PML-N leader accused the government of harassing officers probing the OGRA scandal.
