PML-N not likely to join DPC log march

July 06, 2012

LAHORE – The PML-N is not likely to accept the invitation of Defence of Pakistan Council (DPC) for joining its long march from Lahore to Rawalpindi on July 8 to protest against the reopening of Nato supply route.
Party sources claimed on Thursday that the PML-N would prefer to launch independent protest against the restoration of Nato supply route, which the party believes has been done in total disregard of the parliamentary resolution.
They said the PML-N would welcome other parties that have a similar stand and that oppose the government over the resumption of Nato supply route.
It may be mentioned that the DPC has announced to give call to all political parties to join its protest against the government decision and had also reportedly tasked Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaqat Baloch to meet the PML-N leadership in this regard.
