LAHORE – PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has appointed ex-governor Latif Khosa as the party election cell head.
He would monitor the general elections and report to the party co-chairman on pre-poll and polling-day rigging. Khosa was assigned this responsibility at a meeting with the president at Governor House Monday. Benazir Bhutto had also entrusted the same responsibility to Khosa before the 2008 elections. He had then compiled a report on pre-poll rigging by the PML-Q, a party that is now in election alliance with the PPP.
