Mother of  4 electrocuted

LAHORE – A mother of four children was electrocuted in the Shera Kot area, police said on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as Nazia Bibi, was ironing the clothes at her house in the Ahsan Colony when she received an electric shock and fell unconscious. Her neighbours took her to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police handed over the body to family.
Found dead: A 25-year-old junkie was recovered dead from the Shafiqabad area on Tuesday.
According to police, some passersby spotted the body near Yadgar Chowk and informed the police.
Police investigators believed that the youth, unidentified so far, apparently administered a drug injection to him, which led to his death. The body was removed to the morgue for autopsy.
Burnt: A Chinese worker sustained burns after a boiler exploded in an electronics factory in the Sundar Industrial Estate area. The cause of fire was yet to be established. Rescuers took the wounded to hospital where he is out of danger.
Separately, two people burnt when fire broke out in a servant quarter in the Defense area. The fire broke out in the residential quarter because of short-circuit.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and put out the fire after hectic efforts.
Police reshuffle: Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Khan Baig on Tuesday ordered the transfers and postings of two police officers.
According to an official handout, Capt ® Atta Muhammad was posted as SSP (Investigation) Gujranwala and Zahid Mahmood, Additional SP Lyallpur Town, Faisalabad, was transferred and posted as SP (PHP) Faisalabad
