Laho re -The American ambassador Mr. Cameron Munter accompanied by his wife Dr. Marlin White visited Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre Lahore today. Dr. Faisal Sultan, CEO Shaukat Khanum Hospital along with the hospital management welcomed the honorable guests. Dr. Faisal highlighted the performance of the hospital through a presentation and also shared the future plans of the hospital with the guests. Honorable guests were brought around different departments of the hospital. The distinguished guests thanked the management of the hospital for providing the opportunity to visit this wonderful institution. He appreciated the state of the art facilities and services being provided to cancer patients. Mr. Munter acknowledged and praised the efforts of SKMCH&RC by saying that This hospital is well and truly serving the greater humanitarian cause. He said: I am glad that SKMCH&RC is working in research and other medical fields in collaboration with international institutions and I am of the view that the hospital should extend its collaboration with other health care institutions especially in the US. I and the government of US will be happy to provide any kind of assistance in this regard. They also distributed gifts among the cancer patients of SKMCH&RC.
