Message to teachers and students

October 06, 2012

LAHORE – The World Teachers day is extremely importance in the current scenario of Pakistan; though the education sector has been commercialised, the promotion of education is not seen as it should have been, the Nawa-i-Waqt Group said in a message to teachers and students on Friday. In the private sector, education is too costly; while, in the public sector, those at the helm of affairs do not take care. Such trends have affected the youth that they have forgotten the respect of teachers. On the other hand, the teacher community has become ‘academy-mafia’. It is our demand on the World Teachers’ Day that teachers should perform their duty with utmost responsibility and students should respect them.
