Pilot averts tragedy as lightening hits PIA plane

The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) airplanes are unsafe, even in the skies. A Sialkot-bound flight of the airline was hit by thunder, but fortunately, landed safely at Lahore airport.

Sources said PK396 flight was hit by lightening near Lahore an hour after taking off from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport for Sialkot early Saturday. They said the thunder could not cause a significant damage; however, the plan’s internal electronic system was partially disturbed. With presence of mind and outstanding expertise, the pilot controlled the unexpected situation and landed the plane at Lahore airport, averting a massive tragedy, with all passengers remained safe in the incident.
