LAHORE - The JI chief, Syed Munawar Hasan has said that any legislation to undo death sentence will be strongly resisted, while the corrupt rulers are bent upon striking down every law that harmed their selfish interests.
Addressing the Friday congregation at Mansoora Mosque, he said that allowing dual nationality to parliament members is against the national interests. He said the ban on dual nationality for the law makers and rulers exists in several countries.
Similarly, he added that the government bill to exempt the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers from contempt of court law will be an attempt to provide protection to their corruption.
Munawar said that in every critical moment for the country PML-N Chief, Nawaz Sharif dashed of to London, as head of the main opposition party, he should have been in the country to lead the protest rallies against Nato supplies resumption.
The JI chief said that the Defai-e-Pakistan Council will mobilize the nation against the Nato supplies continuation.
