LAHORE – PML-N central leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif in her message on the International Women Day has said that participation of women in politics is a must for nation building.
She said women were capable of playing role in establishing a system based on justice and equality. She said women contributed a lot to the creation of Pakistan under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and today they were again required to do the same to save the country.
The PML-N leader was quite pleased that today the women were getting together under the banner of PML-N with a spirit to protect Pakistan and take if forward in the world.
Maryum also lamented the treatment women received during the five years rule of the PPP and said with this view, her party had decided to give them due share in the upcoming elections.  The women segment deserves a dignified place and her party would provide them the same by encouraging their participation in every walk of life, she added.
