Man nabbed as squads out to enforce one-dish law

LAHORE - A man was arrested and another six were booked for violating the one-dish and timings laws on Monday.
The monitoring teams have launched an action against marriage hall owners over the violation of the law.
Two cases were reported in Samanabad Town, three in Data Gunj Buksh Town and one in Ravi Town. Assistant Commissioner Saira Umer also led raids.
110 more industrial units identified: Teams of various towns identified 110 industrial units in residential areas in three-day survey.
The teams identified 13 industrial units in Ravi Town, 12 in Data Gunj Baksh Town , 16 in Gulberg, 10 in Aziz Bhatti Town, 17 in Iqbal Town, 9 in Shalimar Town, 11 in Samanabad Town, 10 in Nishtar Town and 12 in Wagha Town.  About 817 industrial units have been fixed so far. A report has been presented to DCO Noorul Amin Mengal.
raids on profiteers: The price control magistrates conducted raids at 367 shops in the last 3 days and arrested five shopkeepers.
The administration has launched a drive against profiteering and substandard food.
Food inspectors tested food samples of 322 hotels, marriage halls and shops in the city during last 2 days and imposed the fine of Rs38,000 for sale of substandard and unhygienic food. DCO Noorul Amin Mengal said action against profiteers will go on.
Appointed: District and Sessions Judge Abdul Rasheed was appointed Punjab Environmental Tribunal Chairperson. As per the notification, Abdul Rasheed has been appointed as Chairperson of Environmental Tribunal Punjab while Ubaid Rabbani Qureshi and Dr Anwar Rasheed Saleemi  have been appointed as member general and member technical respectively.
