LAHORE – Model Town police busted a notorious gang and rounded up its three members and recovered automatic sophisticated firearms and stolen valuables from their possession on Wednesday. According to the details, SHO Model Town raided a hideout and arrested three persons including ringleader Shado and his accomplices Khalid and Abdul Razzaq but their three members namely Liaqat Ali alias Mocha, Sajjad and Nadeem fled the scene. During preliminary interrogation, the culprits have confessed to committing 21 crime acts in the Punjab Capital, Gujranwala, Sialkot and other districts. The arrested men have been handed over to the investigation wing for further investigation. Meanwhile, the Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) claimed to have arrested a proclaimed offender Javed Khan of Sahiwal.117 wardens deputed: The City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) have deputed at least 117 traffic wardens under the supervision of 11 police inspectors around markets, shopping malls and other trading centers in the City. The spokesman said that the wardens have been deployed around Naqi Marekt, Mall Road, Panorama, Liberty Market, Anarkali, Shadman Market, Barkat Market, Main Bazaar Ichra, Moon Market, Saddar Bazaar Cantonment, Shalimar Link Road and Defence. He further said the supervisory officers have been directed to personally review the arrangements around the markets and ensure traffic flow.
