LAHORE – Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has counseled Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf to come out of President Zardari’s pressure and write to the Swiss authorities in compliance with the Supreme Court orders. In a statement issued here Wednesday, he said that the government had accepted the Supreme Court verdict in Yousaf Raza Gilani case and there was no option for Raja Pervez Ashraf except to implement the order. He deplored that the judiciary’s orders were disgraced only because of the shamelessness of the presidency.Later, while speaking at an Iftar dinner in the city, Liaqat Baloch said that the corruption of the PPP and its allies had crossed all limits and it had been going on in the name of politics and democracy. The energy crisis had caused unending problems for the industry and agriculture, and the country that had unlimited blessings of Allah, was on the verge of bankruptcy only due to the incompetent and corrupt leadership. He appealed to the SC to take notice of the discriminatory treatment outages in Punjab.
