LAHORE – Airport Security Force (ASF) authorities at the Islamabad Airport arrested a passenger who was trying to board a Canada-bound flight on a fake boarding card, sources in the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said on Sunday.
They informed that the staff at the Islamabad Airport, through an agent, sold the boarding card of a Canada-bound passenger to another person for $15,000. Later, the culprit was arrested by ASF authorities.
Sources informed that a Canadian citizen, Khan Mohammad Tahir, got a boarding card for flight No PK 781/29, but after check-in at the Islamabad Airport he sold it to one Mohammad Ahmad.
Mohammad Ahmed proceeded through all checking stops including immigration counter, first gate and manual immigration checking point easily; while he was not checked at the entry point either.
But he was arrested at the time of manual checking during boarding. He had a Pakistani passport of Shehzad Sohail with the visas for Malaysia and Thailand.
Mohammad Ahmed later admitted giving $15, 000 to the staff of the Islamabad Airport and an agent to get this boarding card, sources concluded.
